Lauren Olinger, Owner/Lead Photographer

 I'm Lauren, the owner & lead photographer of Red Cardinal Studio. I'm an artist and a business owner but more importantly, a wife and new mom. I grew up on a little wisp of islands called the Outer Banks and adore beach life and summertime. I love travel and design, good food, and a great cup of coffee.

After graduating from Wake Forest University with a degrees in Political Science and Studio Art, I moved to Washington, DC to pursue a career in photojournalism. In the meantime, my husband David and I started dating, making trips between Winston-Salem and DC almost every weekend. When we decided to get married, I packed my bags for our home state and opened the doors to Red Cardinal Studio. Since our humble beginnings in 2014, RCS has celebrated with well over one hundred couples all over the map. For us, every wedding is a treasure and a delight, there is no greater privilege than to celebrate and capture love.

Hi, I’m Gwen, photographer at Red Cardinal Studio. I attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Art. After graduation, I chose to follow my passion and love of art and photography. At the beginning of 2022, I married my high school sweetheart, Mason, with a hometown wedding at Old Town Club here in Winston-Salem. Together it’s our mission to find the best sushi in every place we visit and be the world’s best dog-parents to our Boykin Spaniel, Sampson.

I believe in love so much and have such a passion for bringing it to life on camera. I value connection and creating a gallery that reflects your one-of-a-kind love and personality. Every couple has a unique story and we want to showcase that in a classic and timeless gallery you will cherish forever.
